  • Google Calendar ICS

We’re starting the year with a fresh exhibition from two of our MoJo instructors!

In 2025, Kellie White (stained glass) and Hannah Hedrick (screen printing) both participated in the WV Creative Network's Creative Entrepreneur Fellowship Program. This show will feature work previously shared during their fellowship exhibition at the Clay Center’s Juliet Gallery.

“Kellie White makes stained glass that glows with more than light - it carries story, identity, and joy. From architectural windows to experimental works stitched with wire, Kellie transforms a centuries-old craft into something bold, personal, and powerfully contemporary.”

“Hannah Hedrick brings science, sustainability, and art together in ways that feel both innovative and rooted in tradition. Hannah reimagines everyday materials - transforming secondhand textiles into vibrant prints that carry the magic of plant color.”

Across a variety of media, their work shares themes of place, self, and appreciation for the natural world.

Join us for an opening reception on Wednesday, January 7th from 6-7:30PM

View the exhibition at the MoJo’s Bill Hogan Community Gallery from Jan 7 - February 12, 2026

The Last Flower Stand: A Budding Wheeling Student Show

The Last Flower Stand: A Budding Wheeling Student Show

Budding Wheeling is a 7-month agricultural entrepreneurship program for youth aged 13-17. In Budding Wheeling, participants learn business and farming skills, then put these skills to use as they run their own flower farming business.

This Budding Wheeling season has also included the expansion of an arts education program folded into our regular programming. This arts education was formed with an intent to expand on the concept that not only are our flowers a resource, but the time, effort, labor, and voices of our local youth are valuable as well.

The work our students have prepared is the culmination of a season of careful effort to utilize our flowers throughout their entire life cycle - from ephemeral fresh bouquets, morning flower blooms plucked for flower pounding, stems hung and dried for dry flower bouquets, petals ground into spreadable dust, and finally, the pure pigment form of a plant extracted via the lake dyeing process.

See work from the students on display at the Artisan Center Gallery from 11.6.24-12.2.24. Thanks to Wheeling Heritage for hosting us in their space!
